1 on 1's

I feel yoga is a lens through which you look at everything, including your own behaviors and relationship with yourself. Yoga means unity; in yoga therapy, we believe everything is connected. What may appear as a random pain likely isn't random at all. 1 on 1 yoga therapy meets you where you are. We'll work to explore resistance areas within you through the eight limbs of yoga and develop tools and techniques to overcome and or manage those areas. This is a process that doesn't happen with one visit. Often what we believe is our 'problem' is only a symptom of our actual issue. Yoga therapy takes time and requires the patient to be willing to self-examine and be an active participant in their own wellness journey. I suggest that we meet weekly or biweekly in the beginning until you feel grounded. During these early sessions, we explore you. This includes your daily mindset, outlook, breath, joys, triggers, and immediate areas of concern to feel rooted in positivity, reality, acceptance, and awareness. Once the roots are established, you water them with self-awareness and feed them with action. This might mean we meet once a month or year. Everyone's goals are different; let's talk and discuss yours.

I have designed a workshop series called Ashtanga Yoga comprised of 8 workshops on Patanjali’s 8 Limbs of Yoga and how they  can be incorporated into our daily lives. Each workshop runs around 90 minutes and consists generally of: Overview of Limb, discussions of how this limb presents in our life, how to incorporate it into our life, why we should consider integrating this practice, possible obstacles, concluding with a yoga therapy practice designed around the topic. The workshops can be offered individually, or the entire series can be requested.

Online Meditation

Mindfulness Meditation - This practice combines concentration with awareness. You pay attention to your thoughts as they pass through your mind. You don’t judge the thoughts or become involved with them. You simply observe and take note of any patterns.

Spiritual Meditation - This can be practiced at home or in a place of worship. This practice is beneficial for those who seek spiritual growth and a deeper connection to a higher power or spiritual force. This would also include Japa Mala Meditation.

Focused Meditation - Focused meditation involves concentration using any of the five senses. For example, you can focus on something internal, like your breath, or you can bring in external influences to help focus your attention.

Movement Meditation - This is an active form of meditation where the movement guides you into a deeper connection with your body and the present moment. Movement meditation is good for people who find peace in action and want to develop body awareness.

Mantra Meditation - This type of meditation uses a repetitive sound to clear the mind. It can be a word, phrase, or sound, one of the most common being “om.”Your mantra can be spoken loudly or quietly. After chanting the mantra for some time, you’ll be more alert and in tune with your environment. This allows you to experience deeper levels of awareness.

Progressive Relaxation - Oftentimes, this form of meditation involves slowly tightening and relaxing one muscle group at a time throughout the body.  Progressive relaxation is a practice aimed at reducing tension in the body and promoting relaxation.

Loving-Kindness Meditation - It typically involves opening the mind to receive love from others and then sending well wishes to loved ones, friends, acquaintances, and all living beings. Because this type of meditation is intended to promote compassion and kindness, it may be ideal for those holding feelings of anger or resentment.

Visualization Meditation - This practice involves imagining a scene vividly and using all five senses to add as much detail as possible. It can also involve holding a beloved or honored figure in mind with the intention of embodying their qualities. Another form of visualization meditation involves imagining yourself succeeding at specific goals, which is intended to increase focus and motivation. Many people use visualization meditation to boost their mood, reduce stress levels, and promote inner peace.

Accountability Coaching

If we are meeting, you've been feeling like something is missing. Like you are stuck on a hamster wheel going nowhere. Change is daunting. Even things that we are excited about require a level of diligence and sacrifice that might not be asked of us in our daily lives, leaving us feeling drained and possibly even second-guessing ourselves. You and I will meet and talk about where you are mentally and emotionally in your life. This will include perceived obstacles, limiting thought patterns, emotional triggers, and what goals you have. The conversation may also include incorporating others to join your team: nutritionists, mental health professionals, etc. . Through this process, we'll establish the intention and create the outline of your course of action. A start date is scheduled when you decide you are ready to commit and do the work.

Session Duration & Price:

  • Consultation & Outline - 60 minutes - $100

  • Follow Up Options -

    • 15 Minutes - 2x to 3x a week - ZOOM or FaceTime - $25
